Liposomal Vitamin C

Liposomal Vitamin C

Liposomal vitamin C has been my favorite supplement recently. It is absorbed very differently than conventional vitamins and provides much more value in many ways. Conventional vitamin c is absorbed in the stomach and is slowly digested and metabolized and absorbed into the blood through the organs. There is a limit to how much vitamins your body can absorb. The more vitamin c you take the less of it can be absorbed. That is one of the reasons liposomal vitamins are so potent, they bypass the body’s own nutrient transport limit and deliver the vitamins straight into the blood/cells for a much higher and sustained plasma level in the blood.

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient and provides a wide range of healing modalities including anti-aging properties. One of the ways it does this is by promoting collagen production in the body, which drastically slows as we age. Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies and is the key to healthy connective tissue including skin, muscles, and tendons. Vitamin C is also very effective in keeping your brain and heart healthy. Ascorbate (Vitamin C) has shown to be a neuromodulator regulating glutamatergic, dopaminergic, cholinergic and GABAergic functioning. It helps to reduce neurodegenerative disease by negating oxidative stress in the brain, working as an antioxidant.

When you take liposomal vitamins, the structure of the liposome mimics the structure of a cell and allows for quick and easy assimilation. The structure of the liposome also blocks the stomach acid from digesting it and becoming metabolized by the liver. As the vitamins move to the intestines, they are more easily absorbed into the blood and then directly into your cells. The outer layer, the phospholipid, is made from a phosphate and a lipid. The phosphate is water loving and the lipoid is water repelling. This allows for the unique functions of the liposome.

Vitamin C is extremely important for many of your body’s essential functions. I have been very impressed with LipoNaturals Liposomal Vitamin C over the last few months, and many customers agree! Especially now as we head into another flu season it is very important to keep our body’s functioning at their very best.
